I wanted to like this so much because I really like Micah (and Nathaniel) and I was curious about his history. I expected...more, I guess, out of this. It was short, which made me happy because I've been reading long books lately, but it also felt rushed. It's like Hamilton was writing the next book in the series and got an idea and decided to not include it in the next book, but stretch it out into a short one of its own.

I don't think I've ever read something that felt so rushed (kind of unfinished, almost) and also slow and boring at the same time.
