Glass Houses

Glass Houses - Rachel Caine I honestly didn't really like the first few chapters of this book, and I'm not even sure when that changed. Suddenly, I didn't want to put it aside anymore. I actually listened to the audiobook because I'm broke and my library only had the one format, but it was a fairly quick listen.

I don't want to go into details so I don't spoil anything, so those will be hidden, but there were a couple of things I don't think I've read about in other books, so that was a nice change. The thing with Michael and the house was interesting. I am dying to get off goodreads and get the next book so I can find out if the house preserved him again or not omg. Also, the book and Emily holding the secret to making new vampires was a nice twist and I'm curious to see how things play out with that, if it comes up again. I'm assuming it does, but what do I know... This book had a serious cliff-hanger ending, which I'm not a huge fan of. But, since I can get the next book right now, I'm not too upset. This is why I try to wait until a series is finished/almost finished before starting it. I am not a patient person.

I'm surprised by how much I liked this, and I'm definitely going to at least give the next book a chance. I'm not sure I'll finish the series, but if I continue to like it, I will. Vampire books have a special place in my heart, I guess. I don't read as many as I could, but I'm always happy to find a new series to devour, and hopefully this one won't disappoint.
